Interpretation of the elements composing the logo

The pearl

Associated, according to the cultures and times, to purity, solidity, the charm, the beauty and the perfection, illustrate in a metaphorical form the historical diversity, patrimonial, environmental, cultural and sociological of Cacouna. Expression of the multiple potentialities of the cacounois, the pearl symbolizes here the remarkable character of this municipality charged with history and carried by legitimate ambitions. Cacouna is thus like a fine stone, invaluable jewels, treasure to be preserved, shared and made to bear fruit for the generations to come.

The envelop

The envelope (shell), which surrounds the pearl as a sign of protection, half-opens at the same time to reveal it and carry it in the world. It affirms the importance to preserve the assets of history, to open on present occasions and to be projected in the future with confidence.

The ribbon

Symbolizing unityt, the tied ribbon forms the base of the envelope and the pearl while ensuring the stability of the unit. It underlines the attachment of the community to the fundamental values. It can also be interpreted like an invitation to release the potential of cacounois for the greater well being.
The association of the elements of the unit forges a symbol of longevity bequeathed to by an omnipresent, generous and attentive nature. It testifies with determination to the heritage transmitted by the cacounois builders to the present generations and those to come like a call for universality and prosperity.
Here is a heritage to be cultivated!
